When you get sick, your healthcare can become your new job — your business.
If it’s a serious illness or disease, heartache and financial problems come when you don’t manage everything properly (or don’t know how) . The fact is, you can lose everything you have ever worked for in your entire life. And most people are completely unprepared (for whatever reason).
It is not your fault!
There are things you need to learn to help yourself and your family get through this excruciating time… and I want to help you.
After living through cancer for 11 years, I have written and talked about everything from sex and cancer, to how to talk to your children about your illness, to navigating your insurance mess, to the list that can seem endless. I want to be your “go to” person for all of these answers. I have learned a great deal of information through personal experience (on both sides of the issue) and come out on the other side with love, gratefulness, and my sanity (I hope )
.
So help me … help you (and others)
Help me teach how to survive and thrive when everything in the world seems to be such a mess!
Here’s what will be included:
- There is a way to get new drugs approved for your care through your insurance company.
- There is a specific way to go on a doctor appointment.
- There is a way to gather friends and family to help you when you really need it.
- There is a way to organize your paperwork so you are not confused.
- There is a way to negotiate all kinds of fees ..doctors…hospitals..etc…
- How to fiind the right emotinal support just for you…
- Who to deal with family and friends…those that run away..and those that run to you
And so much more!

Amy Regenstreif
At the age of 44 (in 2001) Amy was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called leiomyosarcoma. She has had 11 abdominal surgeries, 4 chemos, and much other medical stuff.
During this time both her parents passed away and her ex husband died of heart attack in the middle of the night leaving her as a single parent of twin 16 year old daughters.
She’s the first person to say this is not pity party.
In the midst of all of this she started an insurance business and was ranked (at one point) number 8 in the company for marketing and talking about long term care planning.
She became incredibly skilled in advocating for herself and getting things done for others in her situation.
She was published in Coping Magazine and has guided others through this crazy process and taught them how to cope just a little bit better. She was sick for 5 years straight… and her money disappeared, just like most people in this situation. Now it is time for her to make a comeback and help others in similar situations at the same time.
Amy is just starting out, however she is very experienced.
- She has advocated for many Sarcoma patients over the years.
- She’s been helping facilitate a rare cancer support group at Cedar Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Institute since 2009.
- She was one of the keynote speakers at Cedar Sinai in 2005 for the Cancer Survivors Day and was recently a speaker at the Survivorship Expo in Irvine, CA.
- Amy also represented the Editors Guild and the Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Retirement Fund in discussing and marketing Long Term Care Planning.
- She had an insurance business since 2003 but openly shares that she just kept getting interrupted with cancer.
.
What I’ll do with the funding…
The funds will go towards helping me produce videos, webinars, cd’s…teach classes…e books…public speaking ..etc.
Again, I will teach others what I learned in this process of 11 years of cancer. Such as:
- There is a way to get new drugs approved for your care through your insurance company.
- There is a specific way to go on a doctor appointment.
- There is a way to gather friends and family to help you when you really need it.
- There is a way to organize your paperwork so you are not confused.
- There is a way to negotiate all kinds of fees ..doctors…hospitals..etc…
- How to fiind the right emotinal support just for you…
- Who to deal with family and friends…those that run away..and those that run to you
And so much more!
When a long term illness strikes you’ll learn how much our Healthcare system is a mess, and if you do not know how to manage your care properly, it can cost you and your family a fortune financially and emotionally.
Let’s change that!

Thank you so much for your contributions!
